Our Vision

To inform, entertain, and provide listeners in the Greater Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality with a radio station that residents can relate to and interact with. To promote local tourism, social causes, and to nurture a passion for radio as a medium, while developing new talent in all aspects of the radio industry and giving the community a voice and companies an opportunity to advertise goods and services. Our MissionTo achieve our mission, we offer a selection of features throughout the day with specific and varied community-related content sourced from diverse contributors, supported by a selection of predominantly South African adult contemporary music during the week, and some special music shows during the weekend. We also take Wild Coast FM 98.6 to the listeners whenever we have the opportunity in the form of Outside Broadcasts which can be tailored for different purposes from commercial activations to awareness and fundraising drives for nonprofit organizations and other local community-oriented and/or community media entities. 

Our Story

Wild Coast FM 98.6 has been broadcasting since November 2012. In 2015, it was registered as a Non-Profit Company and seeks to give local companies an opportunity to have a local advertising platform that results in advertising spend being spent in the local community while providing a platform for listeners and contributors to interact and further community building objectives. Over the years, a variety of contributors have contributed their expertise, time and passion to the station. We have a loyal listenership that we continuously work on growing through providing high quality features and entertaining music. We support a variety of nonprofit organizations, schools, sporting, artistic, and cultural initiatives in our community by opening our features to them. We endeavor to give local businesses the opportunity to contribute to these services through advertising with us.
