Retina South Africa joins with Dis-Chem Pharmacies and the City of Ekurhuleni every February to stage the annual Dis-Chem Ride for Sight.
This one-day road event is a seeding event for the Cape Town Cycle Tour and has been so since the inception of this seeding category.
The main event - the 116km Super Classic carries with it the Ernest Hunt Trophy- the oldest cycling trophy in South Africa.
The event also promotes cycling within the community of Ekurhuleni.
It is organised by a dedicated band of volunteers from the cycling, disaster management and security fraternities and has raised over R10 million since its inception in 1989.
